The FACES Camp Counselor Internship is a volunteer internship that allows young adults with craniofacial differences to serve as role models and mentors for children with similar conditions as their own. Counselors spend the week immersed in the camp experience with our campers, mentoring them, encouraging them, and showing them by example how to live independently and fulfilling lives as adults with a craniofacial difference.
This internship provides on-the-job experiences and the opportunity to grow in leadership skills, communication skills, team-building skills, self-confidence and many more skills that are incredibly valuable to one’s career and transferable to any professional track.
While this internship is a volunteer opportunity, FACES will provide the interns room and board,
as well as any transportation costs.
Counselors are an essential part of FACES Camp’s success; they are incredible role models. Having navigated the experience of living with a craniofacial difference they are uniquely qualified to mentor our campers and show them what thriving with a facial difference looks like.
